Since the Edo period, Japanese refined sake has been made using wooden tools. Many of the tools used in sake brewing are similar in shape throughout the country, but regional characteristics are seen in some of the tools.
This exhibition highlights the function and regional characteristics of sake brewing tools, and traces the transition of wooden tools to machines through modernization.

Sake-kun is a Kansai-jin (a person from the Kansai region) who is obsessed with sake.
He is an experienced sake brewing craftsman.

Sakurako-chan is a fairy of Sasabe-zakura cherry blossom tree studying about Mr. Sasabe who had tended her.
